Pochita is such a good boy

Earlier, I woke up and instantly thought about Pochita's devouring of Mouth and Ear and the way they were forcefully spat out by the hand of Yoru (with Gun) and Yoshida (with Octopus) respectively. Especially with the added context in ch.183 in Denji's belief that Pochita devoured Snow and Bitterness so he could spit them out and remind him of what they mean for him to keep going, to hold on to his dreams. (will go more into this when I make that proper ch.183 post)

Considering that Snow and Bitterness were voluntarily spat out, but Mouth and Ear weren't... Gun and Octopus both reflecting the authorial violence of the state that closed Denji off with the pain inherent in what Snow and Bitterness meant for Denji in his transformation into Chainsaw Man.

I've written my thoughts about the significance of Mouth in the context of Yoru's forced regurgitation of it from Pochita's stomach and her kiss to Denji in Aging's world. And also my thoughts on how Ear (hearing) ties into Makima's representation as the social contract extending to Public Safety's and the Church's manipulation of the public in their perception of Chainsaw Man through the authority they hold to further what they consider to be their "greater good" for humanity. And the weight of Chainsaw Man's presence over Denji's personhood in the sound of the Chainsaw. The consumption and regurgitation of Ear also purposed to demonstrate Chainsaw Man's abilities reported by Fumiko to the cabinet for the state. Yoshida's shared role with Fumiko in the insularity of Public Safety and the Church respectively in the harm it brought to Denji that Octopus carries and as sushi.

The "girlfriend" Yoshida presents, Fumiko's assault on Denji as she tells him to lick the cephalopod-esque devil carcass in the theatre mirrored in Yoru's kiss and assault in the alley followed by Denji's consumption of sushi (squid included) as he contemplates if he's happy with "Asa" in the aftermath.

The sushi that Denji acknowledged was still good in his renewed hope in ch.183 even after Barem's perversion of it with Nayuta's head as the trigger to his despaired withdrawal to bring out Pochita. Denji re-emerging with his dream with Asa's reminder of his crapburger. The crapburger he eats to justify his reason in continuing to be Chainsaw Man.

Anyways, Octopus still being in the stomach is making things all the more intriguing for me along this line of thoughts.
